Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it. (Deuteronomy 1:39)
This is an interesting verse and provokes some questions to me. Maybe someday I’ll revive this post with more thoughts and study but, as I consider the age of those that did go in and possess the land, it is interesting that the Bible implies that these 20 year-olds “had no knowledge between good and evil.” Is this metaphorical? Am I reading too much into this? Is it hyperbole? Do 20 year olds not know good and evil? When is someone accountable for their knowledge? Would someone at 20 not know good and evil and at 21, the “light comes on?” Is this relating to economy but not spirituality?
You see,,, I think a lot. Maybe too much!
